Applies to: The Studiark iOS application, service and community
The core rule. Create with people, not at their expense. Use only media you have the right and permission to use; be clear when media is AI-generated; and do not use Studiark to exploit, deceive, threaten or humiliate anyone.
1. Scope and age
These Guidelines apply to prompts, uploads, AI Outputs, drafts sent to another person, profiles, captions, messages, remixes, challenges, voice packs, reusable characters and all other activity on Studiark. They apply to private generation as well as published content, although the response may differ according to risk and audience.
Studiark accounts, generation and social features are for people aged 18 or over. Do not use a photograph, video or voice recording of anyone under 18 as reference media. A statement that you are a parent or guardian does not override this launch rule.
2. What Studiark is for
- Original fictional, artistic, educational, humorous and entertainment videos that follow these Guidelines.
- Videos featuring yourself or another consenting adult where the permission covers the generation, audience and enabled uses.
- Clearly labelled parody, satire and creative transformation that is not likely to deceive viewers about a real person's actions or endorsement.
- Make Yours, Continue, Challenge and other remixes where the source creator and every depicted person permitted the selected feature and audience.
- Brand and commercial creative work where you have the necessary rights and do not make deceptive claims or endorsements.
- Constructive disagreement, criticism and reporting that does not become harassment, threats, doxxing or manipulated evidence.
3. Consent, faces and voices
Every identifiable adult must know about and agree to the relevant AI use. Permission to make one private draft is not permission to publish, advertise, enable downloads, allow remixes, build a reusable character or create future videos.
You may use your own face and voice, subject to the rest of these Guidelines.
For another adult, accurately identify that it is another person's media and obtain permission before upload and generation.
Public posting, commercial use, voice cloning, reusable characters, ongoing use and remixable content may require direct approval through Cast Friend or a no-account consent link.
If permission is withdrawn, stop future use and follow any removal or restriction instructions from Studiark.
Do not obtain media through deception, coercion, surveillance, hacked accounts, hidden recording, intimate access or another unlawful or unfair method.
4. Prohibited content and behaviour
4.1 Child safety
- Any child sexual abuse material, sexualisation of a minor, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, solicitation or attempt to generate such material.
- Reference photos, videos or voices of anyone under 18, even if the uploader claims parental permission.
- Requests to make a person appear younger for a sexual purpose or to evade age and safety systems.
- Sharing, saving, requesting links to, or helping another person find exploitative material.
Do not upload evidence. If you encounter suspected child sexual exploitation, use Report and identify the content location. Do not download, resend or attach illegal material to a support message. Studiark may preserve and report detected content to the competent authority as required by law.
4.2 Sexual exploitation and intimate imagery
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, voyeuristic content, sexual deepfakes, nudification, revenge pornography or threats to create or share such content.
- Sexual content depicting or impersonating a real person. At launch, Studiark blocks this category even where the uploader claims consent.
- Sextortion, coercive sexual content, sexual harassment or content designed to shame a person sexually.
- Attempts to bypass safety controls by calling intimate content art, parody, research or private use.
4.3 Impersonation, fraud and deceptive synthetic media
- Using a person's face or voice to obtain money, credentials, access, confidential information or another benefit.
- Fake endorsements, customer support, evidence, identity documents, medical records, financial instructions, emergency messages or official communications.
- Materially deceptive depictions of public figures, candidates, elected officials or civic events, including election interference and political advertising using synthetic media.
- Presenting an AI Output as authentic footage of an event that did not occur, or removing required context to create that impression.
- Accounts, profiles or characters that misleadingly claim to be another person, company or authority.
4.4 Harassment, hate, threats and violence
- Credible threats, stalking, blackmail, bullying, coordinated harassment or content intended to terrorise or humiliate a target.
- Hateful attacks or dehumanising content targeting protected characteristics; praise or support for violent extremist or terrorist organisations.
- Graphic or celebratory violence, instructions to commit serious violence, trafficking or unlawful weapons activity.
- Content encouraging suicide, self-harm, eating disorders or dangerous challenges. Supportive recovery discussion is allowed when it does not provide harmful instructions or glorification.
4.5 Privacy and personal information
- Doxxing, exposing home addresses, private contact details, live location, financial information, credentials, medical information or other highly sensitive data without a lawful reason.
- Using private messages, cloud libraries, devices or accounts without authorisation.
- Face or voice datasets assembled for identification, surveillance, scraping or sale.
- Publishing a person's likeness outside the audience and uses they approved.
4.6 Intellectual property and authenticity
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, database, confidentiality or contractual rights.
- Uploading a film, song, character, brand asset, photograph or voice recording when you lack the rights needed for the requested use.
- False authorship or ownership claims, or attempts to use Studiark's remix tools outside the licence and settings provided by the source creator.
- Removing, cropping, hiding or falsifying an AI label, SynthID, content credential, model identifier or other required provenance signal.
4.7 Fraud, illegal commerce and dangerous conduct
- Scams, phishing, malware, credential theft, market manipulation, counterfeit goods or instructions to evade law enforcement.
- Illegal drugs, weapons, trafficking, exploitation, regulated goods or services offered in violation of law.
- Medical, legal, financial or emergency misinformation presented as professional advice or authentic evidence.
- Dangerous acts or challenges likely to cause serious injury, especially where the synthetic nature is concealed.
4.8 Spam and service abuse
- Spam, repetitive low-value posting, fake engagement, vote manipulation, coordinated inauthentic behaviour or mass unsolicited invitations.
- Automated scraping, unauthorised bots, reverse engineering, denial-of-service activity or attempts to extract model or user data.
- Circumventing generation limits, purchases, moderation, age controls, provider filters, account restrictions or geographic availability.
- Selling or transferring accounts, permissions, credits or access in an unauthorised way.
5. Publishing, remixes and Cast Friend
Before publishing, review the entire video and audio. Confirm that your rights and every depicted person's permission cover the exact audience, downloads, external sharing, remix settings, commercial purpose and duration of use.
When you use Make Yours, Continue, Challenge, Cast Friend or another derivative feature, the source creator's permission and the depicted person's permission are separate. If either permission is missing, expired or revoked, do not create or publish a new version.
Do not pressure a person to approve a Cast Friend request. A decline should be private and must not be used to harass, shame or retaliate against the person.
6. AI labels and provenance
Studiark may display an AI-generated or AI-modified label and preserve machine-readable provenance in content and exports. A visible Studiark branding mark may be removable where the product permits, but a required AI disclosure or provenance signal is not optional.
A label does not make otherwise prohibited content permissible. Fraud, non-consensual intimate content, child sexual content and other illegal uses remain prohibited even when clearly marked as AI-generated.
7. Reporting and safety tools
Use Report from a video, profile or menu to report illegal, unsafe, infringing or non-consensual content. Block is available from user and content controls. People without an account can use the public Help & Safety page for non-consensual intimate imagery, impersonation, privacy, copyright and other removal requests.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Reports of child sexual exploitation are prioritised and may be preserved and reported to the competent authority. Do not submit false reports or use reporting tools to harass another user.
8. How we enforce these Guidelines
We consider the content, context, audience, severity, likelihood of harm, intent, history, consent evidence and legal obligations. Enforcement may include:
- refusing or stopping a generation request;
- adding a warning, label or audience restriction;
- disabling downloads, remixes, recommendations, publication or a feature;
- removing or restricting content and known identical copies;
- requiring rights, identity, age or consent verification;
- issuing a warning or temporary restriction;
- suspending or permanently terminating an account;
- preserving evidence, invalidating credits obtained through abuse, or reporting to authorities where required; and
- restricting related accounts used to evade enforcement.
Serious violations can result in immediate removal or termination without a prior warning. Repeated lower-severity violations may lead to escalating restrictions. We may withhold details where disclosure could endanger someone, reveal detection methods, enable evasion or prejudice an investigation.
9. Moderation notices and appeals
Where appropriate and legally permitted, a moderation notice identifies the affected content or account, the rule applied, the action, whether automation was materially involved and how to appeal. An appeal is reviewed by a person who was not solely responsible for the original decision where reasonably possible.
Use the appeal control in the moderation notice or the public Help & Safety page. Explain why the decision was incorrect and provide relevant permission, ownership or context evidence. Submitting an appeal does not automatically restore content while review is pending.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Guidelines for legal, safety, provider or product reasons. Material changes are shown in the app with a new effective date and renewed acceptance where appropriate.
Questions, reports and appeals can be submitted through Settings > Help & Safety or the public Studiark Help & Safety page linked from the App Store listing. Formal notices may also be sent to Helmbyte at its registered office.
